When the shell is fired the pressure pushes the wad forward, locking the slug and sabot together, and forces the locked sabot/slug assembly to expand to the full barrel diameter and spin together as one unit. Upon firing, Hybred wads become locked to the soft lead slug, staying attached and providing stability during flight to the target for consistent accuracy. Hybred Elite ammunition is loaded for magnum velocities and extra power, while Hybred Lite ammunition is a reduced recoil alternative for younger or recoil sensitive shooters. The Magnum lead slug and attached sabot travel to the target together, the sabot providing stability for the projectile and enhancing accuracy.
